Description: Latin American Studies Student Union represents the interest and welfare of its members to the Department of Latin American Studies and to the University.

Union Mandate:
Objectives of the union shall be:
a) To promote student interest within the Latin American Studies program, the SFSS, the University, and the community.
b) To promote interest in Latin America among students and in the community.
c) To promote ties between the Latin American Studies program and the Latin community in Vancouver.
Automatic membership shall be extended to:
a) All minors, majors, and joint majors in the Latin American Studies program.
b) All students who are currently enrolled in one or more courses in the LAS program or in related interdisciplinary courses, all students interested in the area of LAS.
