25toLife
To support Canadian Cancer Society, relying on donations and volunteer help, we strive to increase awareness about cancer and raise funds for Canadian Cancer Society through a series of social events. Included in our agreement with Canadian Cancer Society 100% of the funds donated by our club are directed to actual research; not administration.
Actions - SFU
Actions is a non-profit club committed to promoting public awareness of the struggles and discrimination of the homeless community in Vancouver. ACTIONS also aspires to supply a place for like-minded students to work together towards a worthy cause through fundraisers and events.
Canadian Cancer Society - SFU
SFU CCS holds independent events throughout the school year to recruit more volunteers and fundraise on behalf of the CCS. We want to raise awareness/recruit SFU students by tabling in AQ and clubs days. We also plan on collaborating with other clubs on campus and residence to engage our student population.
Chinese Link (C-Link)
Chinese Link is a non-profit student club with a long thriving history at Simon Fraser University. Our aim is to provide a platform for students to exchange knowledge, to help raise funds for other non-profit organizations, and to participate in volunteer work that helps build up our community.
Dance Marathon - SFU
To engage students in leadership by raising money and awareness for BC Children’s Hospital, culminating in an annual campus event celebrating the total amount raised. SFU is the first Canadian university to participate in Dance Marathon, which has raised over $80 million for children’s hospitals at more than 250 schools since 1991.
Free The Children - SFU
We aim to educate, engage, and empower students to lead meaningful action, by taking part in campaigns and raising funds to build a school in one of the eight developing countries that Free The Children currently supports.
GIVE SFU
Give SFU is committed to bridging the gap between the diverse cultures at SFU by partnering students together in hopes of achieving a common goal, one which involves giving back to the community through various charitable events. Give SFU aims to give to the community while also giving to the students by creating an atmosphere of social inclusion.
International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee at SFU advocates for refugees around the world who are affected by war and disaster. Our mission is to restore hope and opportunity for refugees by raising awareness about the issues they face and funds to help them rebuild their lives.
Musician Impact Network Society - Simon Fraser University Chapter (MINS SFU)
Musician Impact Network Society is a registered BC non-profit NGO with a mission to enhance the lives of vulnerable populations by providing music performance services and fostering a culture of community service by musicians. MINS volunteers provide free, quality music performance services to residential care facilities in the health authority.
Red Cross Club - SFU
We aim to connect SFU students to the Canadian Red Cross, raising both awareness and funds for Red Cross programs. We also strive for further humanitarian involvement within our community through volunteering and community-based projects.
Student Philanthropy Initiative
We started this organization to inspire other students from secondary and post-secondary institutes to get involved in helping our local and international communities in need, not only to provide aid, but to learn and teach others the meaning of philanthropy.
Students For Humanity
This humanitarian organization welcomes anyone and everyone. We will spread positive energy, help those in need, and we will not discriminate while dong so. We will provide aid, relief, assistance, promote health and well-being, and address health-related issues. One person can care for a few people, but together, we can heal humanity.
The SAM Project
The club aims to support and spread awareness to the ongoing projects that SAM carries out in Zambia. SAM stands for Sustainability through Agriculture and Microenterprise. If you have any interest in supporting NGOs or interning abroad this is for you.
Unified for Change: SFU Chapter
Unified 4 Change: SFU Chapter will work hand in hand with the goals of Unified 4 Change, which is hosting a banquet hall fundraiser to support homeless shelters in lower mainland. The funds raised would go directly to the shelters to add beds and better the overall conditions. We want to generate support at SFU to tackle homelessness.
